Interest and Need The most valuable resource is our people and it therefore makes sense that we provide a formal process for the continual development of staff. This workshop will provide the delegates the opportunity to plan discussions with their staff in a structured and non-confrontational manner that will provide a positive platform for the development of their staff by jointly reviewing current and past performance This is a one-day workshop that enables the delegates to practice a number of newly learned skills in a safe environment using a series of structured exercises. The course has a balance of instructor lead sessions followed by exercises designed to maximise the delegates learning experience. At the end of this training workshop the delegates will be able to: - ü Plan and develop a basic performance appraisal plan ü Develop an appraisal process suitable for their business including the facility for self assessment ü Identify the blocks to performance improvement ü Understand the need for a flexible approach to dealing with individuals ü Demonstrate the need for a clear structure for communication and responsibilities ü Use the companies goals as a driver for all individual staff development ü Use job requirements or job descriptions as an aid to performance improvement ü Understand the importance of aligning personal objectives to the business plan and departmental objectives ü Use simple communication techniques to enhance their performance management skills.
