Interest and Need
Teamwork is an essential part of the working ethic within any organisation. The Leadership of teams is, therefore critical to the continued success of any business. Leaders, not only need to be able to identify the opportunities for improvement in others, but also need to be able to exhibit the behaviours that are required of the team. The facilitation of improvement is a skill that is often thought to be difficult and this in turn requires good communication skills. This course shows how to lead work-based teams effectively and how good communication will enable team development.
Range and Objectives
This instructor lead course will provide participants with leadership and communication techniques that will enable them to lead teams more effectively.
At the end of the course the delegates will be able to: -
· Facilitate teams to solve problems and make decisions
· Mange their own time more effectively
· Identify opportunities for saving time that is currently wasted in ineffective discussions or meetings
· Apply techniques that can ease the stress associated with the workplace
· Apply techniques that will enable team leaders to assist in the development of team members and the improvement in their contribution to the team effort
· Provide feedback on performance in a non-confrontational ands constructive manner
· Set goals and objectives more effectively
· Understand the benefits of effective leadership
· Understand basic communication techniques that aid the understanding and support of others
There are no prerequisites for this course but delegates should either be in a supervisory or management role or about to enter such a role.
