Funded Qualifications

Funding available through Train to Gain – Limited Offer though as the Government prioritises Apprenticeships!

To be eligible for funded training you must either be:

·         an EU National, or

·         a non EU National who has been resident in the EU for a minimum of 3 years with permission to work.

If you are unemployed and on active benefits then you may qualify for a fully funded qualification at Levels 1 (Foundation Learning), 2, 3 and 4.

For workplace based qualifications, if you are employed and aged 19+ years old then subject to eligibility the following qualification levels attract funding:

·         Level 2 fully funded if:

o   You are 19+ years old and do not already hold a full level 2 qualification; e.g. NVQ or 5 GCSEs all at grade C or above

·         Level 2 co-funded (where your employer would have to contribute to the fees) if:

o   You are 19+ years old and do hold a full level 2 qualification, or if

o   You are 25+ years old, do hold a full level 2 qualification and your employer employs less than 250 people

·         Level 3 fully funded if:

o   You are 19-24 years old and do not already hold a full level 2 or full level 3 qualification; e.g. NVQ or; 2 or more A Level passes. If you already have a level 3 or above qualification there is no funding available. Or,

o   You are 25+ years old and do not already hold a full level 2 qualification. If you already have a level 2 or above qualification there is no funding available

·         Level 4 fully funded if:

o   You are 19-24 years old and do not already hold a full level 2 or full level 3 qualification. If you already have a level 3 or above qualification there is no funding available. Or,

o   You are 25+ years old and do not already hold a full level 2 qualification. If you already have a level 2 or above qualification there is no funding available

 

If you are aged 16 to 18 years old then Train to Gain funding is not available to you. Please take a look at what is available through ‘Apprenticeship’ funding.
